I asked what speed felt was before ordering this table to which Discount Poker Shop responded a better new improved felt material. This isn't verbatim, as I didn't save the email, so I don't have the direct quote. In fact, the material "speed felt" resembles the upholstery of nice hotel sofas. It does not resemble felt material at all. So, I was very disappointed even though I am satisfied with the quality of the table overall. I think in the long run however, this table will grow on me. I have yet to play on it and get feedback from my poker buddies.

After finally getting to play with my group the feed back was thumbs up. The speed felt moves the cards across the table smoothly, unlike other tables where cards flip up from hitting the felt that folds up or buckles at midway. Also, spills seem easy to clean and wipe up. The material will last a lot longer than regular felt through everyday wear.
